We were originally intimidated by the home-buying process, but Matt made the entire process very clear and approachable. He was always extremely patient and detail-oriented. He taught us how to look for signs of a well-cared-for home as well as signs of potential issues and how much it might cost to fix them. He also had a wealth of knowledge when it came to things like estimating how much competition to expect based on how many disclosures had been requested or talking through how feasible it would be to add an extra bathroom to a house in the future. He wasn't afraid of getting his hands dirty and scoped out the crawl space and attic for us on multiple occasions. Matt was very responsive to calls and texts, especially while we were going through the nail-biting offer process. He let us set the pace of our search, which happened to coincide with a dip in inventory, and he never pressured us to make an offer we weren't comfortable with. We also loved Matt's honesty about when a certain feature of a home "just felt weird" so we never felt bad about having overly picky standards and instead felt encouraged to wait for the right home for us.
